Cooking:
My mom is an excellent cook and I
learnt cooking from her. Earlier cooking was my hobby and now is my passion. I
love to eat good food and to eat good food regularly you need to start cooking,
you cannot always ask somebody to cook for you or go out to eat. The first dish
I cooked when I was in 4th Grade and it was “Poha”. My parents liked
it and they appreciated it a lot and motivated me to try and cook more. The
best thing about my Mom was that, she never stopped me from trying new recipes
and never stopped me from using any ingredients. I was free to use anything and
everything in the kitchen. As I was interested in cooking I started helping my
Mom in the kitchen and started learning her style and her recipes. Even today,
if I want to cook something traditional I give her a call to confirm the finer
points.
After marriage, I started
learning Kerala cuisine. My Mother-in-Law cooks wonderful Kerala dishes. I am
still learning from her.
Blog and Recipe:
The main idea of starting the
food blog is to save the family and traditional recipe of my Mom and my Mother-in-law.
All my family and friends always appreciated my food and motivated me to cook
more. Also, I wanted to share my experiments with everyone.
In my blog you will find mostly Indian food recipes
(the way I cook them) but a food lover cannot be restricted to only one style
of cooking. I love to eat and experiment different world cuisines also. The
sources of recipes are my mom, mother-in-law, friends, other cooking websites,
food blog and YouTube videos. I’ve tried my best to give due credits if I have followed
other website/food blog/YouTube Videos.
All the recipes in this blog are
cooked by me, adjusted as per my family’s taste and tasted by me and my family.
My husband is my biggest critic. He eats all my experiments and all the
experiments are not always successful. But he always encourages me and
motivates me to make it better. The art of cooking is probably one of the
widest and diverse art form and I’m just a beginner. These blogs are in a way
notes of my learning attempts.
Your valuable comments and
suggestions are welcome. Please try the recipes and share your experience with
me.
Thanks
Happy Cooking !!!!
